Play Therapy Training

Child Centered Play Therapy
Child Centered Play Therapy (CCPT) is a therapeutic approach used with children ages 3-10 years old. Recognizing that play is the natural language of children, CCPT utilizes client-directed play, in contrast to a more counselor-directed talk therapeutic approach . This presentation will focus on the skills of CCPT, the types of toys, ways to document counseling sessions, and teaming with parents for successful behavioral changes.

Introduction to Filial Therapy
Filial Therapy is a specific technique for trained Child-Centered play therapists to use with families who have an identified child client. Participants in this course will learn how to model for the parents the same attitudes and skills that they wish the parents would use with their own children.
